If you fix SEO with the help of an AI agent, you know the back and forth. You run the audit in one tab, copy the problem, paste it into the chat, the agent suggests a change, you apply it, and then you go back to the other tab to find out whether it worked. Half the job is carrying information from one place to another.
Starting today, the agent does that part on its own. SEOWrench is now a connector for AI agents, using the standard they call MCP. You connect once, and Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude Code or VS Code call SEOWrench in the middle of the conversation whenever the topic calls for it.
The connector page has the steps for each agent. If you want to see the score before you connect, the free check shows the same score, with no sign-up.
What your agent can now do
Three things, all of them read-only. The agent does not change your site through SEOWrench.
Audit a page. Both scores, technical SEO and AI readiness, and the problems ordered by severity. Each problem comes with what was measured and how to fix it. You ask like this:
audit my pricing page with SEOWrench
See whether AI assistants can read the site. Which AI crawlers your robots.txt blocks, whether there is an llms.txt, and what keeps ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini from citing the page. It is the same measurement as the GEO report:
can AI assistants read my site?
Check that a fix worked. This is the one that changes how you work. After you change the page, the agent reads it again, right away, and answers problem by problem: passed or not.
check if the H1 is right now
A loop that closes on its own
Together, the three form a loop. The agent audits, you fix (or the agent does, if it has access to the code), and it checks. If the check fails, it already knows what is still missing, because the problem code comes back with the answer.
In a test on seowrench.com itself, on October 19, 2026, the conversation went like this:
You: audit https://seowrench.com with SEOWrench
Agent: SEO 99, AI 96. The page is in good shape. The one thing worth fixing: there is no author or date for AI assistants to cite the page as a source.
You: check if the main heading (H1) is right
Agent: Passed. I read the page again just now, and the H1 is right.
The agent does not have to guess whether the change worked, and you do not have to take its word for it. The answer comes from a measurement taken after the change.
Same score as the website
The agent does not make up the score. It comes from our rule engine, the same one behind the free check and the audits in your dashboard. If the score in the chat and the one on the site ever disagree, that is a bug on our side.
This matters because AI agents are good at writing and bad at measuring. Asking a model to "rate the page's SEO" gets a different opinion every time you ask. Measuring with rules gives the same number for the same page, and that number is what the agent uses to decide what to do next.
How to connect
One warning first, because it was the first mistake in our own testing: do not paste the address into a chat. The agent will try to open it as a website, and that does not work. SEOWrench goes in as a connector, in the agent's settings.
In Claude, for example:
- Open Settings, then Connectors.
- Click Add custom connector, name it SEOWrench and paste the address
https://api.seowrench.com/mcp/account. - Click Connect, sign in to your SEOWrench account and approve.
The path is a little different in the other agents, and the connector page shows each one. If you already have an account, the same steps are in your dashboard, under Account, in the AI agents section.
Two limits that are not ours, but are worth knowing up front: ChatGPT only accepts custom connectors on paid plans, and free Claude accepts one custom connector.
What it costs
You can try it without an account and without a card: 5 reads per day, at
https://api.seowrench.com/mcp.
With an account, each page the agent reads uses one page from your plan, the same pages as audits. Auditing the same page again within a minute costs nothing, because agents often ask twice in a row. The fix check always reads the page live, and counts as a read.
| Reads | Per hour | |
|---|---|---|
| No account | 5 per day | within the 5 |
| Free | 30 per month | 20 |
| Plus | 3,000 per month | 20 |
| Pro | 10,000 per month | 100 |
| Agency | 100,000 per month | 500 |
Each plan's details are on the plans page.
What about my site's content?
On our side, your pages' content is not sent to any AI model. The score comes from the rule engine. The audit result goes to the agent you connected, and only because you asked for it.
Next step
If you already use an AI agent day to day, connect SEOWrench and ask it to audit the page that matters most to you. Then fix one thing and ask it to check. That second request is where the difference shows.
