Terms of Use

Last updated: August 23, 2026

These terms cover the seowrench.com website, the web app, the Chrome extension and the WordPress plugin. Plain language on purpose: you should be able to read them in full.

What SEOWrench does

SEOWrench analyzes websites for technical SEO problems and shows how to fix them. The audit runs on our own rules engine, and the score is calculated from those rules — not from an opinion generated by a model.

Findings are diagnostics, not guarantees. Fixing what we point out tends to help search engines crawl, index and understand your pages, but no tool controls rankings, and we never promise a position or an amount of traffic.

Your account

You need an account for most features. Keep your credentials safe and let us know at [email protected] if you believe someone else is using your account.

One account is for one person or one company. You may audit sites you own or are authorized to audit.

What you may audit

Only audit sites you own or have permission to analyze. Our crawler identifies itself, respects robots.txt and limits its request rate — but permission is your responsibility, not ours.

Do not use the service to attack, overload or scan third-party infrastructure, and do not attempt to bypass plan limits with multiple accounts.

Plans, billing and cancellation

There is a free plan with limits, and paid plans billed monthly or yearly through Stripe. Prices are shown on the plans page before you pay.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal; access continues until the end of the period already paid, and we do not charge again after cancellation.

If a renewal payment fails, we keep your paid access for a short grace period while the payment is retried. If it is not resolved, the account returns to the free plan and your data stays available under the retention rules below.

A price already in force for your subscription stays in force for that subscription. New prices apply to new subscriptions.

Refunds

If something on our side did not work as described, write to [email protected] and we will resolve it — including a refund of the period in question when the failure is ours.

We do not refund a period that was used without a problem on our side, or a plan bought by mistake and used to its limits.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the service up and fast, but we do not offer a contractual uptime guarantee on any plan today. Maintenance, provider incidents and rate limits from third parties can interrupt an audit.

The service evolves: features are added, changed and occasionally removed. If a change materially reduces what your paid plan delivers, we will tell you before it takes effect.

Your content and ours

Your data and your audit results are yours. We use them to run the service, and we may use anonymous aggregates — never a domain, URL or identifiable customer — to publish statistics about technical SEO in general.

The engine, the interface, the texts and the brand are ours. The Chrome extension and the WordPress plugin are distributed under their own licenses, stated in each of them.

AI features

Some features use AI to explain a problem or draft a fix. The page content of the sites you audit is not sent to third-party AI models to compute the audit or the score.

AI output is a suggestion, and it can be wrong. Review it before publishing anything on your site.

Limits of liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, loss of revenue or loss of ranking, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the event.

Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer law where you live.

Ending the relationship

You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend an account that abuses the service, attacks third parties or does not pay — with notice whenever it is possible to give one.

Applicable law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, where the company is established.
